The first step in designing your garden will be to arrange a consultation with Tom, when he'll sit down with you and listen to your ideas and requirements. He'll then view your garden to get an idea of the space and discuss his initial thoughts with you. Following this he will sketch out some potential layouts, which will help produce an accurate design concept. Once you are happy with the design, he’ll give you a cost to produce a set of A3 size plans, along with an artistic impression in watercolour.
When you’re ready to commission Tom to build your garden, he’ll take a survey, which will include taking measurements and photos, as well as noting level changes and the aspect of the site.
He’ll then make a presentation of the proposed scheme, putting forward his ideas and plans to convey exactly how the finished garden will look. Tom takes great pride in the quality and detail of his drawings and believes this elevates his designs to something truly special, which sets him apart from other designers.
